oil changed and...!!!
so my bro had his oil changed at a dealership earlier in the day and then i receive a call round 9 sayin his car died. so i go n check n notice that he has no oil whatsoever. so i think weird. so we go grab so more oil and fill it up but the dipstick line isnt goin nowhere. after a while a pedestrian at the gas station comes over askin if we need a jump since i tried jumpin the car thinkin it was the bat since it wouldnt turn over. he looks around and then goes under and finds fresh oil on the drain plug tightens the drain plug and tells us. so we left the car there and i tell my bro to go talk to the dealership. inputs?

Maybe not, I work at a dealership and we never haggle customers about stuff like that. But our customer satisfaction level 2nd highest in the country for a reason.

jiffy lube did an oil change on a customers car and ran it without oil..they brought it to our dealership and jiffy lube had to buy a new motor for that car....stock_honda_coupe is right, a dealership will never argue with customers about stuff...if a customer came back the next day to complain about something like a scratch from having their car serviced, then we pretty much have to fix that even if we did it or not

no oil will definately cause that.
i work at a honda dealership in express.
we see cars all the time coming from different places with loose drain plugs.
recently we had a tsx from florida come in with the drain plug MISSING, it still ran fine because they shut if off when they saw a huge cloud of smoke.
one time an s2000 came in for a "leak" , then he told us, i heard the drain plug fall out a couple miles ago.. needless to say his motor knocked a bit.
OP: call the people who changed his oil, tell them to buy a new motor.

They are fully liable and responsible for this incident because it is their job and duty to make sure the drainplug is tight when doing an oil change. Its just that simple.

honda is really good with fixing all their mistakes. my shop would do the same if we fuked up. the only problem i hear is about FORD, theywill always say you did something or they will try to lag so your warranty runs out
