Changing oil question
When you are refilling the oil if you go over the needed amount do you have to empty out all the oil and try again until you get it perfect? What are the consequences of having too much oil?

i heard that TOO much oil will make your car run like ***,...if you have more than whats needed in,..just take the drain bolt off for a couple seconds and then put it back on,..no big deal

loosen your drain plug and let it drip out or if you can get under your car easily as in standing under it you can tilt the plug right when it is about to come out and hold it till a little comes out , then check it. May take a few times depending on how much over it is. you dont have to start it up each time to check the level. Once you have changed the oil and started it and after you have oil pressure and no leaks shut it off. oil will stay in the filter and you can get an accurate reading
