Oil for 95 civic d15
its the stock engine that came in the 95 dx sedan
i use 10 30 i used regular oil and its okay, this recent oil change i used the part synthetic and i really felt the difference,
now should i use full synthetic for my car?
or is it only for performance engines and what not?
is it worth it? and also what brand or its all the same?

Use whatever 5W30 you want. I doubt any of it is going to make a difference. If you're planning on 7-10k mile oil changes, use synthetic. Otherwise just use normal oil.
5W30, though. Not 10W30

okay 5w30, i used 10w30 cause they said it was better for high milage and it burns slower?

i use regular, and i run different weight with different outside temps. the hotter it is the thinner your oil gets so in the summer i run thicker oil so it doesn't thin out so much and thinner in winter cus thick oil in cold temps is putting a lot of strain on your engine, just my theory it work for me for the 6 years ive owned my car.

5W30 is the recommended all year wejght. No idea why anyone thinks the car needs or will benefit from running a thicker oil just because its summer. It doesn't make sense. 5W30 is a recommended by people who designed the engine . Their reasons range from bearing clearances to availability to fuel consumption.
Other lesson is to not over think it. All these cars run for a long time on pretty much anything that resembles oil.
People who track their cars or people who own race cars or people that do like 20k mile+ oil changes should probably scruitinize their oil. If you're just DDing the car, put in anything. It'll run for a long time.
People also have the wrong idea about how oil weights work. 10W30 is a thicker oil than a 5W30 only at start up or before operating temp. At operating temp, they both maintain the same (within tolerances) viscosity.
You want a THIN oil at start up. You want an oil than can resist thinning out further once it reaches temp. That's the simple version. Oil is complicated...and the discussion probably isn't worth the time for the purposes of this thread.
A 5w30 is a 5 weight oil that "acts" like a 30 oil would act at operating temp.
Meaning if a 30 oil was "X" viscosity at 212°, a 5W30 is a 5W oil that resists thinning out at 210° enough to have "X" viscosity. 5W does not mean winter. It is the raw grade of the oil.
Other lesson is to not over think it. All these cars run for a long time on pretty much anything that resembles oil.

To reiterate a point said but not emphasised by B serious. The 10w30 is going to affect your fuel economy a bit. It may run fine in the car and the car may last a long time but you are actually using a bit more gas until it gets to temp. Maybe not much but over years it adds up. You best fuel economy is with the manufacturer recommended 5w30 on these older cars.

Valvoline works fine. If that's what you like, stick with it. Actually, their maxlife synthetic blend is a really really good oil. It sells at walmart for like $18 for 5qts. Or you can wait for one of the oil and filter sales at advance auto.

I personally work at a Valvoline, and use our own oils. I use the 5-30 high mileage full synthetic oil (Maxlife Full Synthetic) and change every 3000. No issues yet. But I see vehicles coming in daily on conventional oils running 300k+. As long as you take care of it and change your oil when the time comes it'll last with anything. You can use any 5w-30 weight of your choosing. Valvoline, Quaker, Royal Purple, Castrol, etc. etc. just make sure you change it every 3000-ish miles. The main difference between conventionals, blends, and full synthetics is the different kinds of additives they put in the oil itself. The higher up the scale you go, the more protection the oil is going to provide. At the end of the day it's all dependent on what you're willing to spend on your oil.

Main differences in conventionals vs. Group 3 synthetics is the molecules themselves. G3 synthetics (mobil1, Castrol edge, valvoline syn power, Pennzoil platinum, etc) are just rearranged and further refined conventional oil molecules.
G4 and 5 synthetics are actually synthesized oils.
