Default Offset and Rubbing

Should I be okay w/ this set-up w/o rubbing. I'm a little unsure because of the offset of the rims (yes I know they are stunna rims). I'll probably sell them and convert to Si rims but anyway:

-EJ1
-17x7" Konigs w/ 40mm offset
-205/40/17
-Koni Reds
-H&R Sports or Eibach Sportlines

Also, I'm the only person that ever rides in the car.

EJ1? never heard of it. do you mean EM1? or EJ7? anyway, i'm assuming you mean 6th gen coupe. your offset and overall tire diameter will fit perfectly. i would be concerned with your suspension setup. i'm not sure how stiff koni reds are, but h&r sports or eibach sportlines have relatively soft spring rates, and koni reds won't be as stiff as koni yellows. i would go for koni yellows and gc's if you have the money, or kyb agx if you want to save a few hundred bucks.

EJ1 - 5th Generation EX Coupe

Believe me, if I had the money I would go with the Koni Yellow and GC set-up but I don't. I've strayed away for the KYB AGXs b/c I think if the drop exceeds 1.5" they are not guaranteed to withstand(?) and warranty is voided. I'm not sure on this. I might go Tokico Illumina if I can find some extra cash.

more cash= better quality and protection right?

Buy whatever is gonna make you happier in the long run. save up the extra cash if you want the others. Don't settle for less than want you really want.

If the tire size you want does rub, your gonna spend alot more effort reshaping the wheel basin.
