Default Offset for my car

I've got a dark green 98' civic 2 door EX, my first car, and I was thinking about putting some rota circuit 8's on it, bronze. The size is 16x7 offset is +40mm and the lug pattern is 4x100 or there's 4x114.3, which one would fit my car? Also, is that offset going to fit good? Does anyone have a tire recommendation? I appreciate all your help.

your car is 4x100. also the offset is ok for your car.

i recommend just getting 195/55/15 kumho ecsta 711

cheap and fine for daily driving.

i'd ignore his tire suggestion unless you want to somehow make 15" tires fit on 16" wheels

i'd go with something like a 205/45/16 or maybe a 50 series, i don't know if it would be too big or not. Yokohama AVS ES100's are a great performing tire for cheap money.
