I have an eBay Type-R knockoff lip on the front of my EJ6 sedan, and I'm wondering if the OEM Honda Full Nose Mask will fit over my lip. I only want to use it for protection on long road trips and to protect it from bugs in the spring. Thanks for any help.

Itll cover a decent amount of it, but not all of it. You might have between like 1/4" to 1/2" on the bottom of the lip that wont be covered.

Well I'm not so worried that it'll cover the lip, it's just an unpainted urethane. I'm just not familiar with how these nose masks clip onto the car, and wanted to make sure it would attach with the lip on before I spend the money on it. Does it just clip around the sides of the bumer cover?

Its mainly just a bunch of little elastic straps with clips on them. There are 2 actual snap buttons (think winter coat) that go on the inner part of the fenders, other than that youre pretty much just securing the clips on the end of the elastic straps to wherever they go. As for your lip area, I think youd be fine, there should be enough elastic for you to wrap around the bottom of the lip and secure the hook underneath. Id say get the mask man, Im glad I got mine! I have an EH3 with a Road Race Gear front lip, and when Im not racing and just crusing around town, going to shows or whatever, I take my splitter off and my nose mask has enough elastic so I can secure the hooks behind my lip and only leaves about 1/3" showing.

What year is your car?

The '99-'00 Civic Si full nose mask will fit over the OEM lip perfectly. I wouldn't put it over an aftermarket lip for fear of stretching it.

The other full nose masks ('96-'98 and '99-'00 non-Si) are not made to cover a front lip.
