Odd clicking noise while in moton. Don't think it's wheel bearing.
Sorry I don't have a better title, but it's really as well as I can put it.
Sometimes while I'm driving I can hear a noise. It sounds like it's coming from the left front of the car, but I can't be 100% sure. It sounds almost like a metal on metal contact, but isn't necessarily relative to the speed of the car. (Sounds the same at 30mph as it does at 60mph.)
It's not really a clicking noise, but again like a metal on metal contact. I guess almost like one of those sprinklers that turns in a circle, like a "tsit tsit tsit" noise.
I only noticed it when I went from my 18" to my stockers. I thought it was my downpipe, but I fixed that and made it sit higher. There is nothing hanging down below the car, I recently had the rotors turned and I don't think my brake pads are rubbing. The plastic wheel cover isn't touching the wheel and the car is only dropped about 1.5" on Tein S-Techs and Tokico Illumina 5-ways.
Again, the noise started when I went from my 18's to my 14's. Since it's started I've changed my struts and turned my rotors. No other changes.
Last summer I also removed my power steering and looped the rack. I did keep some fluid in the lines to keep the rack lubricated.
Anyone have any real educated guesses I would like to hear them.
Thank you,
-Nick

this is just a guess, i dont know what exactly your talking about ..
but my car makes some clicking noises which the local shop told me is coming from my aftermarket upper control arms (skunk2 camber kit)
for me it was deteriorating bushings, but i might be completely off
bump regardless

Re: (killaj12)
Thanks a lot for the idea. I'll have to get under the car and check out the bushings. I've been considering redoing all of the suspension bushings because the car has around 230k on the chasis.
Do you know what old bushings would look like? I assume they'd look dry-rotted or cracked.
