OBD2 to OBD1-Motor swap
I have a 2000 civic non vtec (i think it's obd2b) and going to buy an obd1 gsr swap. Is the 99-00 civic si wireing harness the only one that will work?
I was searching and found people were using obd2 to obd1 converter? Can I get one of those or only the si one will work?

So I need both?

you need any vtec obd1 harness, or use your obd2 harness, run vtec wires from your ecu inside the car to the motor and use an obd2 to obd1 conversion harness to use the obd1 ecu. an obd1 harness would be ideal but its a paiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnn in the ***.

Will what you can do is use your Harness and just wire up knock, and vtec wires...I did my wiring in my 97 Ek with my gsr swap in 30minutes max...its not that hard to pin and wire up the konck and vtech...but it'd be easier if you had a 99-00 Si harness or a 99-00 Ex harness...

no you dont want to use a obd1 harness...way to much work and it'd just make you more stressed out...just use your old harness and wire up vtec and knock etc...
