i recently bought a obd2 gsr longblock because my old motor blew. which was a obd1 Lsvtec...

my question is will my LS harness work on my motor? and also swapping my dizzy and alternator and fuel injectors from the ls to the gsr right? and i kno for sure i need a obd1 gsr ecu or p28

please help me out in the right direction thanks

help please im so lost and would like to get it on the road i have read plenty and still unclear on the harness part and which way it would be easier to go besides havin a obd1 gsr cuz its to late for that

If your harness is obd1 than your gonna to need to swap over your-
-injectors
-distributor
-alternator

What ecu you running?
Is your ls vtec harness already wired up for vtec?

u just need to use ur ob2 wire hires ob2 dizzy and everthing on ur ob2 gsr everthing will plug and run fine u just need to get a ob1 ecu i have a ob2 gsr in my 94 coupe and wire up the iab and the vtec but since ur car already had ls vtec wires are already there right

gmoe i did swap everything over i have the ls ecu

and BIGANteg i read that i should just switch my dizzy and alternator and injectors just like ur saying...so my ls ecu wouldnt start it up right?cuz right now it trys to turn on with all the obd1 stuff on it

yea im running a 98 gsr in my eg with all ob2 stuff and a ob1 ecu p28

k im in the process of lookin for a obd2 gsr harness...if any one has one thats uncut let me kno but im havin trouble finding a obd1 gsr ecu any sugguestions?and if i get a p28 like u it has to be chipped correct?

mine isnt chipped im just using a p28 unchip for now but its better to use the p72 so that the secondary valves can open but the p28 runs fine i mean its not going to run as hard but will work to u find a p72 or un till u can get the p28 chipped
