obd2 distributor with obd1 conversion.
Im using a obd2 distributor to do my obd0-obd1 conversion on my crx.
The colours of the wires arent the same, i was told they were on the obd1 distributors but the obd2's i just assumed were as well.
Does anyone have any pinouts of the obd2 and obd0 distributors?
-Eric

Re: obd2 distributor with obd1 conversion. (B18C5-EH2)
Im soldering on a obd2 plug on the engine side where my obd0 plug used to be (still is)
I know that the obd0 has 2 plugs and obd2 has 1 plug i figured that much out and i know where the wires from the 'extra' obd0 plug go on the obd2 plug its just all the other wires.
Heres what i have on the main plug
obd0
large white
orange
white
orange/blue
white/blue
blue/green
blue/yellow
On my obd2 plug i have these wires
white
black
red
yellow/green
green
yellow
blue
The big ignitor wire and the other wire beside it i figured out thoese 2 wires but what about these other ones? On my obd0 side i have no red, no black, solid green, solid blue, yellow. And on the obd2 side i have no blue/green, blue/yellow, white/blue, orange/blue, orange.
The only way i can make sence of it all is to wire it this way:
OBD0 Obd2
large white - yellow/green (i was told it goes that way)
orange -
white - white
org/blue -
white/blue -
blue/green -
blue/yellow -
As you can see on the obd2 plug i still have.... blk, red, green, yellow, blue left. Which wires do they hook up too? I was thinking blue/yellow could take the yellow, and blue/green could take the green. But that what about the orange, org/blue, and white/blue.
Sorry if i rambled on too long but im so confused, everything else is wired except for this stupid distributor!!

Re: obd2 distributor with obd1 conversion. (HamiltonRex)
Anyone know the pics were helpfull.
But on the obd0 side i need to know what colours of wires go to what colours of wires on the obd2 plug. The wires dont match at all.

Re: obd2 distributor with obd1 conversion. (qp)
hey HamiltonRex are you the guy who wants to borrow an ecu on the toronto civic club forum? I am Zeeman from TCC.
I have a obd2 gsr dizzy on my obd1 b16. As you know the obd1 harness from the car has 2 plugs and the obd2 dizzy has only one. But if you try to repin the plug on the dizzy to the obd1 plug the pins from the obd2 dizzy don't fit into the obd1 plug. So what i did was eliminate the plug on the engine harness side. All of the wires were the same color on my obd1 harness and on the obd2 dizzy, so i just plugged the pins from the engine harness into the plug on the dizzy. But be careful b/c the pins are different sizes. Specifically the black/yellow wire and the blue wire, these are the ones that were on the different plug on the obd1 side.
If this is confusing to you maybe i can come up to your place and try to help in person. Let me know if you want my help.
