I have a 95 with a complete d16y8 and i'm wondering if a p28 ecu would run the car. I can run my obd1 harness in it since the p28 is a obd1 im just wondering if it would actually work and would i need a y8 dizzy and convert it to fit the harness i have now?

The P28 will run the y8.

Yes, you would need a y8 distributor for the y8 motor. If you are using an OBD1 harness, you can splice the wires to work, or get a conversion harness.
