You're OBD2a. 99% certain that civics are 2a until either 99 or 00, and integras are 2a until 01.

if you want to be 100% sure look at the ECU plugs, that tells you everything. OBD2 WILL have 2 o2 sensors. basically if there's 3 rows of pins, you have OBD2, 2 rows, OBD1

here, read up on youre ECUs:
http://wikitest.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin/...ry/WireHarness

i couldnt find those pics here on HT, search is pretty much useless for looking up OBDxx so i appologize if thats a nono.

Civics:
OBD2A -> '96 - '98
OBD2B -> '99 - '00

Integras:
OBD2A -> '96 - '99
OBD2B -> '00 - '01

*Notes*
-HX Civic coupes remained OBD2 for the entire production run
-Most JDM OBD2 ECUs remained OBD2A For the Entire production run. CTR ECUs being a notable exception.

im not possitive if its mandatory, but if your trying to pass emissions then yea, obd2 civics have 2 o2s in them from honda,
im not 100% positive on this but the top. just check with a shop.
