OBD-1 JDM B20B/5sp -> 2000 Civic LX Auto
Hello HT!
It's been awhile! So I'm looking at a 2000 Civic LX AUTOMATIC with a dead D16Y7 engine, and have a JDM B20B with OBD-1 LS B18B trimmings(full 5-speed swap) that was in an EG, including the stock B18B 5-speed ECU.
I'm well versed with the distributor and alternator wiring, engine mounts and bracket differences, adding the clutch pedal, master, and so on. I've performed auto-to-manual on both EF and EG chassis.
The grey area for me is the auto-to-manual side of things at the ECU on an OBD2b car which I haven't played with before, and there seems to be limited to nothing for info on this.
Can I simply purchase an OBD2b to OBD1 ECU adapter harness and plug-n-play my OBD-1 ECU, or do I need a manual transmission OBD2b engine wiring harness as well?
On prior experiences I used the automatic engine harness and the extra plugs hung loose un-used with no issues, as long as I had the 5-speed ECU. I *think* I also had to rig something at the shifter with a jumper so the car would start.

Re: OBD-1 JDM B20B/5sp -> 2000 Civic LX Auto
I contacted Rywire, who says their OBD2b to OBD-1 ECU adapter harness is already pinned at the ECU for the 2 wire IACV, and provided I wire the IACV at the engine correctly it's plug and play
I also found a box in storage with the 5sp pedal set I saved years ago from a CX hatch that was totaled, pays to be a parts hoarder sometimes lol
I'll post up occasionally as this swap goes along, especially with the shifter and pedal wiring involved with the A/T to 5sp swap.
