an O2 simulator works fine but only in the second O2 position. The one after the cat, but it's only worth the $$ if you remove the cat. Which some on here will not like because they say it makes little difference and makes the car sound like crap.
IF you put it in the first O2 position the car will likely blow up. The first O2 is used to determine how much fuel the engine needs while cruising.

thats weird cause right now my 1st o2 sensor is disconnected and i'm only running the second one after the cat, and the car runs fine. reason is because i haven't gotten to extending the wires and the guy at the muffler shop said the second one is more important

he lied. It may run ok, but it will run better with the O2, and your mpg has to be in the toilet.
the O2 after the cat (secondary) is an emissions only device, it's used to determine of the cat is doing it's job. The first (primary) is the one that matters.

i'm not disagreeing with you or anything but, my mpg is the same as its always been, i've been running with it like this for about 5 days to, i was pretty confused when my car didn't run like ****. cause i've had an o2 sensor problem before, but it must have been the second one

Sweet that's good news. I'm not going to run a test pipe or anything. I was just gonna get one of the car-sound cats that's OBD2 EPA Compliant for like 60 bucks and not the CA EPA CARB which is 200. Since my plans are to boost there'd be no reason to stay with the CA version since it'll fail smog checks anyways. Thanks guys for your replies!
