Default o2 sensor question

ok i have a bad o2 sensor and im gettin real shitty gas milage. that i can get over, but when i was lookin at some threads and a few said that when u have a bad o2 sensor it will kill your power becuase it will be runnin to rich or too lean. is this true? im askin because im about to go to the track soon and i dont wanna if my cars not gonna be at its best. btw its obd1 so it only has 1 o2 sensor. tia

just buy a new one, they are like $45 or less

arent they like 45-100 for the universal ones? my friend bought a universal one and it already went to **** on him. i asked the dealership and they said it would be like 250!!! **** that, im hopefully gettin this one from a guy around here this week.

go to baxters and get one. they carry a brand called standard, it has worked well for me.

or i have a 4-wire that i could sell you, PM me if you are interested.

you kinda have the same problem i do.

and i bet its the o2.. they are just kinda pricey..

Hmm I didn't realize that having no o2 sensor would cause a lack of power, I guess I should get the oil plug out of there and get another o2 sensor asap.
