not too happy with setup
guys, its been 2 days already and i'am not too happy with my ride. i mean seriously what could be wrong? aren't kyb agx and h&r got a good reputation? hek, if i knew it was gonna be like this i could've save myself a few hundred dollars and get me some sleeves and stock struts. this civic is way different than my DA. my DA was much smoother could it be because the civic is smaller?
could it be the guy installed it wrong?
too bouncy even on little curbs and dips and hit the ground hard.
somebody help me!

which H&R springs, did you get the stiffer ones? And remind me, are the AGX's the adjustable ones? make sure they are not on the stiffest setting

sorry dude, i have the illuminas, but i do recall seeing that they were adjusted on the side, but maybe not. Play with the settings and see if you can make it any better.

agx have two type. the ones that can be adjusted on the side are for trucks and the ones that is adjusted from the top is for lighter weight. i had a set of agx with skunk 2. on highest stiffest it was pretty bouncy. i feel every bump on the road, but on the lowest i mean it doesn't feel oem springs but it was better compare to max stiffest.

That has nothing to do with the spring rate. If whoever did the install for you put the stiffer springs in the back, then yes, your ride will feel extremely bouncy. Check the springs to see if you can see the letters and numbers stamped on them just to check. The beefier springs and higher spring rate ones should be in the front.

start off at no.2 didn't like it at all. then change to no.4 way too bouncy. then 3 still rough. what would no.1 be like?
and also what is the recommended psi for a 50 series?

what civic do you have a hatch or coupe or four door... hatches are very hard to tune the suspension the rear is so light, coupes and 4 doors are easy cus they can counter weight front to back...

after researching i found out that eg adjust from the top internally and only four numbers.
so that clear out. my only complaint is the ride is too rough, harsh, and bouncy. the car is not even slam. today i will try no.1 all around and i want to know what psi is recommended for street use for a 50 series?

Re: (G2_Fella)
50 series sidewall? my max psi on my 712's is 45.....i think, thats off the top of my head.......but anyways, this is why you should just install it your-self, so you know what exactly happened, but check your bushings, when dropping a car a little they can break when placed in a new position and can cause a shitty ride, but its probably not the bushings

i'm ok now
after changing the setting to level 1 on the front and rear i'm pretty satisfied with my ride now. so i guess i'm a "stiff ride" kind of person i don't like the "soft" bouncy ride at all. i might change the rear to 2 or 3 but definately stick with level 1 on the front.
i will stick with the oem spec on the psi; 35f/32r.
