B16A2 high idle
i tried searching for info on this but found nothing on this particular problem... found lots of idle problems but not this one.
when the car is cold, the idle goes up to warm the car like it's supposed to (kinda high though 2100rpm). When it warms up the idles drop to ~1600rpm. BUT, when it's warm, if i shut off the engine and restart it, it idles at ~1000rpm like I want it to. What would cause the idle not to drop to 1000rpm unless the engine is restarted?
i've already changed the IACV. tried setting the idle with the IACV unplugged. i cant get the car to idle low unless i restart the motor when it's already warmed up.
there are NO idle surges whatsoever. just a constant 1600rpm when it's warmed up, and a constant 1000rpm if the engine is restarted when already warm.

i've tried that.... when it's started cold and "warms up", it will idle at 1600rpm. i tried turning the idle screw all the way and it would idle at 1400rpm, but when i restarted the motor, it idled at ~550rpm.
