Been at this issue for MONTHS, replaced vss, put in new instrument cluster,replaced fuse 15 (was blown), did the TSB work on removing manifold bracket and checking for frayed wires (weren't any, but protected them per tsb anyway)... Still no speedo and no instrument lights..tried jumping the dimmer switch too, when I did that it does illuminate the gear selector lights but nothing else...any help would be great.it's my daughters first car and she needs a speedo and lights!

11/16 now the gas gauge is bouncing around, and then going back to empty even if not empty...all these gauge and light issues must be related?

i would trace all wires to see if somethings grounded bad. wires are crossed. something of the sort.

have you blown multiple fuses?

Thanks for reply..Wish I could get some help on this common problem...No other blown fuses....So far the new fuse # 15 hasnt blown..Im outta ideas other than tracing wires one by one, but really no clue where to begin if I do that... I had really hoped to find a cooked wire under the manifold bracket!
