Default no oil pressure.

have a 93 civic ex greddy turbo charged and after replacing the headgasket and a oil change the oil light flickers or stays on at idle and the oil pressure gauge reads zero. checking the oil dipstick afther 10 minutes of engine on, the dipstick still reads the same above the full level meanning no oil has gone to the oil filter. the car did have a history of the oil lingt comming on at one point. the old oil filter did not have a drop of oil comming out and it felt dry. the valvetrain is noisey as before but it looks like fresh oil is making it up there, if not, just a bit to see. but it just might need adjustment. after driving it a bit the oil gauge needle did move but drop back down. any ideas to what might be going on.

My guess is the pump is fine. There is a possibility of the pickup being clogged but if the engine seems clean internally than I doubt it.

How many miles are on the motor? I would have to guess bearings and seals. Bearings and seals are what actually create oil pressure, if they are going bad then oil pressure would definately show a significant drop.

Crank seal, rear main, cam seal, internal head gasket oil leak(very possible considering this started to happen after the head gasket was changed).

don't forget to mention that the oil was change too and also the old oil filter was dry when i pulled it out. saying that, iv come to a conclusion that the thick 9 month old oil mix with coolant was keeping the oil light from not comming on. there were load of gunk stucked to the valve cover so im saying the bearings are shot. 5w30 was put in there so i will try something alot thicker and see if the light stays gone.

The oil was 9 months old? Why the **** would you leave oil in there that long? I am willing to bet that not only is the pickup and pump clogged but the bearings and all of the seals are bad as well. With intelligence like this it wouldn't suprise me to find that the head gasket was destroyed as well.
