No more gas money!!! WTF!?!?!?
ive been having a lil situation on gas milage, i got this car last year and was running normal and all of a suddon i started burning a grip of gas!!
i so far changed the Spark Plugs(NGK), Fuel Filter, Cap and Rotor and PCV valve but those foos gave me the one that goes on the B20 so i had to cut that extra piece since i have a D16Y8... im waiting on my Spark Plug Wires(NGK)
but dont know if that'll make a difference?? my fuel pressure regulater is set at 41psi but gunna change it to 45psi...
you guys know what else i can do???????
i need help ive been waisting tooooo much money on gas and have none left for other mods....
THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!!!!!!

Gas mileage is affected largely by drivers habits'. The more agressive and faster you drive, the more gas you use up. Also, run the correct oil (on your cap), make sure you have a good and functioning MAP sensor, clean and working O2 sensor, clean fuel filter, and clean injectors. Those, aside from driving habits, also define a large amount in gas milage.

Brake cleaner can clean the O2 sensor, but your better off just replacing it if your gas mileage is that bad. Also, check your MAP sensor, make sure its plugged in correctly, and functioning.

Its good to have an FPR if your planning on boosting, and plan on getting a good tune, but tampering with it on a basically stock motor can certainly deduce your gas mileage if you dont know what you are doing. Leave that stuff to the tuners at the dyno shop.

will do ima clean it meanwhile i get a new one check the map sensor but if its bad how do i know??

Make sure its plugged in, and that you arent getting any Check Engine Lights. If its the stock MAP sensor, and the motor has over 70k miles on it, id look into replacing it, that made a difference when i did it. Their not too expensive. THe unit itself has a tiny nipple hole that is used to detect air flow, in turn, letting the ECU know what amount of fuel to put in. It also helps the idle. Now to check it, make sure the tiny nipple (when the unit is removed) isnt cloged with dust/crud/debris, that would certainly affect gasmileage. It can be cleaned out using a pinch of brake cleaner and a needle or other thin object to free out any debris blocking its tiny air hole. The likelyhood of it being clogged is slim unless you have a vaccuum leak or bad airfilter, or basically any other way foreign objects would make their way to the manifold.

not really i got the fpr and gauge, vafc, boost gauge and a/f gauge since i was boosting but didnt fit cause of the a/c condensor but will remove it after summer since its 116 degrees F over here, intake, headers, grounding kit thats it pretty much stock and slow!!

yea its stock and yea it has waaaay more the 70k miles so ima check that and see what i could do since i dont want to spend a lot of money in that SOHC and use it towards my LSVTEC build but i guess if i want it to run good gas milage im gunna have to waste money so ima do it!!!
