Default no heat!?!

95 hatch with a single cam motor
its damn cold out, and my heater is giving me nothing but cold/warm air.

the car heats up normally
the slider and valve to control the heat are all working.
when the car is monving i can get some heat, but not a lot
when i stop, its cold
(yes, it worked last winter)

occasionally i get a heat spike. it noramally sits just between the half mark and C. everyonce in a while it spikes up above the half point (i get no heat then), and then it drops back down again.

the thermostat is 3 weeks old (OEM Honda) there is pleanty of coolant.

i was thinking maybe an air bubble, or the radiator cap... or both. any idea?

Its your heater coil for sure dude. For the time being you can always put sticks on your passenger side floor mat and light a wire.
