Default No first gear, and stick moves around when in gear.

Speed and revs don't matter. It is impossible to get my 99 civic into first gear. I have to start in 2nd and the clutch is a little slippy and it has no torque so this is very tricky. When I'm in any gear the stick moves freely side to side. If you aim for first it's gonna go in third. If you want to get it into second you have to push the stick far right where R and 5th are, then quickly slam it into 2nd. How do I get my first gear???

Go underneath the car, check the shifter mount.

Yep. Shifter mount and bushing condition there, and the bushing up where the linkage meets the trans as well.

I think you might have lost your spring pin between the shift linkage and the transmission. Careful when you pull the boot back, there might be hope that it's inside the boot and you just need to put it back, but I will say, it's very rare for them to come out on their own.

I had a shop lose my spring pin and they used a nut and bolt to get the linkage to work which left the stick super loose but I could still find gears.

When people use a nut+bolt to replace the "bitch pin", it will always wiggle. Always replace it if it is misplaced.
