No cruise control or horn?
So. Ever since I bought my 94 ex civic coupe. My CC has never worked. And my left or right horn(I'm out of state and I dont remember which one exactly, but 1 works, and the other doesnt). I was reading a month or so back that they seem connected(1 horn and CC). But no one every responded with an answer to how to fix it or what the problem was. Fuse? Short?

Ditto. The SRS clockspring (a.k.a. "cable reel assembly") has wiring from both the steering wheel CC switch and horn to the harness under the dash. You want to get in there and inspect the clockspring. See photo and maybe the wiring diagram at http://honda.lioness.googlepages.com/cruisecontrol . Follow the airbag precautions, though: Disconnect the battery for five minutes, then put the red cover on the airbag connector, per the service manual instructions. Else you risk the airbag going off while you work.

Re: No cruise control or horn?
i dont know about the clockspring being bad if 1 horn button works. unless its partially broken.
i might look at the switches in the wheel if the horn does actually work.

behind the clockspring, theres a white sleeve. theres some tabs on the inside of that sleeve. theyre prolly broken off or chewed up a bit.

Re: No cruise control or horn?
check if the clutch arm is hitting the sensor under the dash. if you feel the clutch a little loose when you let go of it while youre driving, probably thats the problem but before; if you take your car for a drive when you press your clutch pull it back with your foot and press the C/C button and see if it lights up. thats what was wrong with my C/C. the clutch arm wasnt going all the way back when i moved my foot from it and it wasnt hitting the button therefore it wasnt activating the C/C I dont know if these will help but it helped me what I did is remove the cotter pin, then the clevis pin, loosen the nut behind the push rod then loosen the push rod a little so the rod is longer and the pedal doesnt feel loose. Test fit it to make sure the clutch arm can reach the sensor button when it goes back.
since I bought my car the c/c wasnt working im not a mechanic but I mess with my car I ruin it is my fault so if you want to do these go ahead, like I said it worked for me probably its not even the same problem I had im just trying to help

Re: No cruise control or horn?
You most likely have two separate problems. The diagram below should help to pinpoint the CC problem. Wire power directly to the "bad' horn to see if it works.

Re: No cruise control or horn?
I just thought of something. Ever since I bought my civic, I have never needed to push the clutch in to start it. I just assumed it had an automatic starter. So possibly my clutch is 'alsways' engaged to the ecu's stand point. Even though like a month ago I had a brand new competition stage 2 clutch installed. Hmm. So, I geuss my question is, can a automatic starter make it where you donet have to push the clutch in to start your car if you have a manual transimsission?
