No CEL when I unplug knock sensor.
There is no CEL when the knock sensor on my b18c is either plugged or unplugged. Could the ecu be fried maybe, or any other ideas as to what would cause this? Thanks in advance.

Alot of times it will take some miles for the ECU to "read" the input of the various sensors. I know when my 02 sensor went kaput, I started to get a really low idle about 50 miles before the CEL came on.

I actually ran the motor without the knock sensor wired up for a few days and put over 50 miles on it during that time. It never came on. Any other ideas/suggestions?

im just copying and pasting from a post i found in SEARCH....just gotta read around fellas
"check to see if the knock sensor is tight in the block , then check the continuity from ecu to knock sensor , lastly replace the knock sensor ...hint the cel 23 does not come on when the sensor reads pinging or knocking it just tells the ecu to pull timing out it ony throws the code when there is something wrong with the wiring or the sensor(usually)"
