Default no brake pressure after wheel cylinder replacement.

I changed the wheel cylinder on my 94 civic DX today and after that we bled the rear brake lines and had no pressure at all on the pedal. there wasn't a leak from the rear but on the way home (yes i drove it with my hazards on at 20mph lol) there was a bad scraping sound from the drum we worked on until i hit a speed bump.

you guys think i need to bleed the front brakes too or could it be something else?

do a 92-95 si rear disk swap.. if its a power brake system you need to follow haynes manual or alldata printouts on which way.. youll need to bleed all calipers if it can be bled then you must bleed it to get the air out of the lines.

Are you sure you bled the system properly? When you say you have no pressure do you mean mushy pedal that goes to the floor? Maybe you did not adjust the shoes up enough and they aren't touching the drums when you hit the pedal. Maybe the master cyl is bad. And since you replaced the wheel cyl, you should have done new shoes to both sides and adjusted them up enough to contact the drums.

We ended up doing a rear disc conversion yesterday and still no pressure. Still need to bleed the front brakes and check the front calipers to see if they're leaking.

um.. you have to bleed a certain way how are you doing it? maybe myour master cylnder is messed up. search on here for bleeding procedure. youll find somehting in the tech diagrams how-to section. if not pic up a haynes manual. definatly need one even if u use it once youll be happy saves alot fo time..
whe i used to bleed lexuases i had two people, fill the res. pump the brakes until its hard then bleed the line closest to the mastercylnder then the next closest after pumping agin and again
until no air comes out of each caliper.

goodluck
