nitrous B20vtec estimated track time?
with my swap hopefully getting done wed (waiting on mounts) and after break in, just out of cursiosity I wondered what i could possible crank out at the track. Traction permiting, on my 75 shot with my b20 with a b16 head (5angle valve job, titanium **** upstairs) and my car weighing about 2300 one of the calculator progrmas said 12.9, i was like oh really. Any thoughts

could be anywhere from like a 14 second to 17 second it all depends...there are many varying conditions...the main thing is the driver...if you drive like toad in mario kart then you can expect some better time you know what i mean leprachaun

is the bottom end stock? what are you redlining at? what kind of kit Zex, direct port, single fogger, what tranny? lsd? or no lsd? clutch? what kind of driver are you? what kind of suspension does the *** end squat a lot? tires? wheels? all of that stuff makes a diff on what kind of time you will run there is no sure way to tell for sure. So think about all of that stuff as well. Also i don't know about a 14 second to 17 second unless you are the worst at shiffting EVER!

Mista Bone, how long have you run that set up? You don't have any problem so far? wat kind kit is that? wet or direct port? were you running on slick or street tire? more info please. Sound so tempting. I would rather get n20 kit than b series swap. I'll be happy with low 13's.

B20crvtec, civic hatchback, 17 inch rims and tires.
GSR head, stock cams.
12.5 compression with endyn pistons.
THATS IT, oh 310 injectors... Everything else was stock except the intake, header, exhaust the usual.
First few runs were 13.7 on the 17's. He then installed a 75 shot of nos.. got it to 13.1. he then bumped the nos to 100 shot... His last run was a 12.8 or 12.7 cant remember.... STILL on 17s... Granted, this guy could drive, i mean drive VERY< VERY well.... He had the motor for 6-8 mths i believe, maybe longer and just a few weeks ago it finally gave up.... cracked all 4 sleeves...
So, thats what you can expect... This was also a full interior car, he daily drove it...
Later.

Re: nitrous B20vtec estimated track time? (DIY_Racing)
yea the bottom end its stock, im gonna put on drag radials for the run, Its a nos 75 shot dry kit it had a fresh clutch hasnt even been run yet. My car wieghed in at 2350 with me in it, now with that weight and b20vtecs throwing down around 180whp (keep in mind mine is a little tweaked) and throwing the NOS on top so say around 210whp it should put my *** in 12s, wow that would be fun. Oh yea its for sale by the way.

Re: nitrous B20vtec estimated track time? (bearboy80)
Well, all i have to say is i built the motor, and i saw the runs... His first time out he was 13.9. He did RUN after RUN after RUN... every weekend he was there... Finally got it to a mid thirteen.. STILL on the 17s... Thats when he put the nos on.... He did all this racing, PLUS would run it at the illegal drags all the time... I thought the motor would last 2 months, TOPS.. ahaha... Just because he beat it so bad.. He went throuh three trannys... Kept breaking the shifter fork on them....
So, 12s on a b20 crvtec with 75-100 shot of nos, with good driving, is possible...

He knows how to put together the engine properly.
You also need the direct port gsr plate.
I don't know how long it would have lasted, but he ran it with nitrous for about 3 months, and the motor is now in another car which has put about 60k on it with no problems.

Re: nitrous B20vtec estimated track time? (97civhatch)
Power to weight ratios only mean so much , you need tires, and most of all the ability to drive. I ran a 12.1 with 235whp...........12.7 on street tires.......stock ls motor in my rex............I could have broke 11s with more practice. NE ways I thought the topic was aboutNAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWzzzzzzzzzzz. its all about the nitrous baby.

it is becuase a allmotor car with the same horspower will normally be faster then a turbo car witht the same horsepower. i remember seeing a lsvtec hatch on here run a 12.15 with only like 196 to the wheels so i think easily low 12's good luck keep us informed don't blow it up either

Buddy of mine has a B20Vtec, with some internal work, with a 75 shot ran a 13.7, just the other day. If you dont have pistons, don't expect to go far...fast.
