Default Need some feedback on my e.t.'s with nitrous

I just went to the track for the first time with my nitrous kit (75 wet shot). My average time off of the
bottle is about 16.0-16.1@84-85 mph on street tires. My best time for the day was 15.3 @ 94 mph
(street tires as well). I'm confident that I can breakinto the 14's because I babied my car off the line (my
clutch is not doing so great) and I've got some tuning to do--too much nitrous bog. My question is what
does my trap speed indicate? I'm still learning how to read these things.

Also, I hit the nitrous after I engaged 2nd gear. Is that the best possible way to do it?

not a bad run . . . gotta know the rest of the mods though.
get slicks and a good clutch and you will see 14s very easily
what was the 60ft?

Finding the sweet spot to launch can be a big pain in the ****
Once you find it though, your times will definitely drop.

Some things that would also drop yours times would be to upgrade the clutch to take a hard launch, try and eliminate wheel hop issues (motor mount inserts/stiffer suspension), and use some stickier tires.

Depending on how long you want to keep the car, maybe an LSD.

I was actually looking into an LSD for the future. And you're absolutely right about stiffening up the suspension, motor mounts, etc--she is feeling sloppy at 134,000 miles. Right now, I need to replace a shi*-load of bushings and just yesterday my c.v. joint starting clicking (doh!!). I was thinking of going with urethane for the former, but I've heard the ride quality is harsh. I commute 20k miles a year so I'm hesistant (what do you think?). My car's suspension is rough enough as it is.

I am keeping my stock suspension bushings, but I will be upgrading to a set of Zeal B6 coilovers (12k/8k) If I change the bushings as well, I'll have no teeth left

Koni yellows with some progressive rate springs, 1"-1.5" drop will definitely firm up your ride. I'd give those a shot and then try swapping out the bushings (need a machine press for that)

yup... got that too when i ran a 15.4 on 55 shot
I was coming from a 17.0 in a 00 ex civic w/ just an intake though
Don't worry man it's only traction and launch issues. Cause if u only ran 15.3 with that kinda 60ft as well it's traction. I had a 2.571 60ft with mine also... i couldnt' hit a good launch. so i only came up with a 15.4 i know a 15.0-15.2 was possible though. I hit a better 60ft totally stock than that day.

Yes, I do have traction isssues....but I also have some slicks sitting in the garage waiting for that new clutch. I'm confident that I can break into the high to mid 14's after I tune the nitrous a little more, install the clutch, and slap on the slicks.
