Default NGK BKR6E-N-11

Hi!

I bought these sprak plugs for my D16Y7 civic coupe... Now I see that there is a difference between the recommended spark plugs for my car (BKR6E-11) and those which I bought...

Those guys at local delaer won't take it back no matter the fact that THEY SAID those are fo my car...

My question is... will NGK BKR6E-N-11 work in my car since they are recommended for B16A1 engine, or will I have to get the BKR6E-11 plugs???

Now I am really pissed off at those guys since that is not the first time they sell something that does not fit in my car... this time it is not expensive but still I do not want to waste money because of their mistake...

Please, advise me!!!

So you think they will not fit?

But if they fit in, will I loose performance or will they work OK???

I thought stock are 5E? If they fit you should be fine. Mine lose some perfomance cause I think the 6E is one step colder than stock.

The manual says BKR6E-11 or ZFR5F-11

And now I got BKR6E-N-11

This is for BKR6E-N-11 from NGK's site

14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, gasket seat, ISO length, resistor, projected tip, V-power (v-grooved center electrode), .044" gap

And this is for NGK BKR6E-11

14mm, 3/4" reach, 5/8" hex, gasket seat, ISO length, resistor, projected tip, V-power (v-grooved center electrode), .044" gap

Looking at that, everything should fit in fine...

I am just curious will it hurt my performance or will it improve it...

Now I have BKR6E-11 and I am satisfied so 6E is just fine for me... that N sign in BKR6E-N-11 bothers me...

Those spark plugs (ZFR5F-11) are the EXACT spark plugs for your car... don't worry it is from Honda's manual...

OEM honda wires are the best...stick with OEM.

Magnecor.

Just call NGK and ask what the N means. It probably just means platinum or something.

you have a y7, there isnt any performance to lose.

just make sure the gap is set correctly.

Good point... hehehehe

I managed to replace them for 2 (two) Honda OEM oil filters cos they wouldn't fit so I took the old spark plug and the new one and show them the difference... they couldn't say no to that so they offered new spark plugs and of course some strange number on them so I refused and took 2 oil filters... they wouldn't give me the refund...

I went to my local all-parts dealer and got NGK BKR6E-11 almost 4 dollars cheaper than in Honda store...

Thanx guys...
