Default Newbie 5th gen or 6th gen

Hey new chick here

Hoping to buy a civic but, wondered if there was much difference between the
5th gen Honda civic hatchback 92-95 and the
6th gen Honda civic hatchback 96-00 (think those are the correct specs)
in terms of drive, performance and handling and also wondered what your opinions were on them

Many Thanks

get the 5th gen eg hatch or coupe.. cheaper, lighter. it all depends on what you want. personally i love the looks of the eg hatch, and the ek hatches are alot heavier if both cars have full interrior.

Go with the 5th gen. You can swap pretty much anything into either car but the 5th gen is lighter and obd1.

OBD1 FTW. plus no motor mount issues, light, no "fat ***" look, and complete and udder exchangability with most DC teg parts

1993 CX/VX hatch manual- 2094
1997 CX hatch manual- 2304

thats 210 pounds

1993 DX hatch manual-2178
1997 DX hatch manual-2319

141 pounds

even my 94 coupe dx (2231lbs) is lighter than both of the ek hatches

210 pounds is alot of weight.. its like having a fat friend in the shotgun seat when you WOT.. you can feel the car lag lol.
