The O2 Sensor doesnt go into the cat. so i dont think you would. But i have a DX so it might be differnt from a cx. But i still say no.

what about flanges their two bolt right? and need two of em obviously (btw there is no cat on the car now so i cant reuse anything)

so i will have to get one on the new cat then? but is it in front or back? and if the apexi ws is approx. 2.36 whatever inches dia. should i go with a 2.25in cat or 2.5 or doesnt it matter cause i can get flanges to fit?

Most of the newer hi flow cats come with an O2, sometimes 2 already drilled, and you put a bolt into whichever you don't need. Check out what you have now, if there's an 02 plugged into the cat, you'll need it on the new one. As far as sizing, with that exhaust you can use 2.25.
