Default newb need help, LS => EK '96

first i want to know if $400 for the LS motor and tranny is a good deal. Next thats all i get with the 400, what else do i need. I know i need mounts, but which one. ANd i tried searching already, but since i know nothing bout swaps I dont even know what a LS motor is like if its a B series and how many HP. So if you wise people can help me out THanks in advance!

and besides listing the parts it'll be a great help if you guys can be specific on the year and model of the part thanks.

you'll still need the mounts like you said and an ecu, wiring and harness if it dont come with it. thats about it if you have the motor with the tranny.. it has about 140hp to the flywheel about putting it on your car will probable be a little less.. the mounts i think you can use a b-series mount since its a b-series. yes you can! after the installation your car should be better. im gessing high to mid 15s.

its hard searching for the LS swap, cuz it says ls is too common, but i did some more researching on the net last night and found out it was some kind of weak B18. I know that sounded really noob. uhmmm what axles? b series mounts does it matter on the years?

shift linkages?
Shifter?

Im not really trying to race, its cuz my tranny is dieing and it'll cost about 3 hundred just for another tranny, now my friend has this offer for me so im just trying to find out how much its going to cost on top of the 400.

dude the ls is non vtec,It has more torque than the b16 or gsr engine, plus if you really want v-tec you can put a vtec head on latter on or you can turbo it. either way an ls is not slow.

LS is 1.8 liter usually comes with a long geared ratio tranny. 145 hp (@crank) 127 lbs/ft torque, they're quick if you know how to drive. $400 sounds like a good deal, if you trust the person/people you're buying it from.

okay koo, for now i just need to know is this going to require the same parts as doing a B18 swap, because after more searching i found a lot more info on b18 swaps than trying to search for LS swaps.
