Default new york inspection

I have a crack in my stock exhaust manifold from the primary 02 up and around between the 2nd and 3rd primarys. The exhaust is visable while the car is running. There is no CEL though. Can I still pass inspection?

Theres a lot NY emissions test threads lately.

Not sure if you can pass, but I remember going into ny inspection with a completely rusted up exhaust (with a lot of holes in the piping and water in the muffler) and still passing without any problems.

Thanks for the quick response. 've searched and looked at almost all of them. Most of them have to do with swaps. Your problems were behind te cat though, right?

yes, behind the cat. You could clearly hear the leak but I still passed. I'm assuming your drive a '97 right? Which of course is OBD2... All they do now is plug a connector into your diagnostic port to see if all your sensors and system is ready and working. I don't see how a leaky header will cause you to fail. They stopped doing the sniffer and roller test on 96+ vehicles.
