New wiring and ecu? Need comfirm.
Okay I got some extra cash and here's what I'm asking. Right now my B16A3 motor is in my 97 civic hatch DX. I'm running the 2000 si engine harness and 2000 si ecu. Lately I've been having issues with vtec not working randomly and such. Now if I bought a 96 - 98 single cam vtec wire harness and got a Obd2 to 1 conversion harness and chipped p28 would I be alright? I'm just trying to get this comfirmed because I paid a ton for that 2000 si harness.

Re: New wiring and ecu? Need comfirm. (zeroek)
why don't you save your cash and try to fix the problem?
worst case just re-run the two VTEC wires and tuck them into the loom.
if you really want to spend the time and money, the 96-98 harness needs an OBD2a to OBD1 converison to run a P28. So yes it will work, but moving wires on the OBD2a harness to fit the B16A3 would be more work than fixing your current harness.
