Default new valve cover + old valve cover gasket???

I am putting a new valve cover on my motor, and i am using the old valve cover gaskets. Should i use gasket sealer in there too to prevent leaks? If so , where should i apply it, if not all around?

you don't resue a gasket. hence the main purpose of a gasket... just go buy a new one

It depends on how beat up your old gasket is.

Regardless, use some Hondabond on the corners and by the cam humps.

the valve cover gaskets are not a traditional "gasket" they're more of a seal. Just make sure both surfaces are clean and the "gasket" is not beat up or torn etc...

It can be reused, and if you replace it everytime you pop off the valve cover, you either

A. buy into too much bs
B. have more money than brains
C. both a & b

It's only ~$10 at the dealership. If it's old, just replace it. If it leaks, it looks like crap.

if it is stiff dont reuse it. if it is soft you can still use it.
