Default Running poorly after dizzy install

After replacing the dizzy, the engine runs very rough at start up. Will take a few cranks for it to finally stay running at idle, but when she gets there, it sounds like the video. Only after a few minutes ( engine warms up ) she gets straight and runs right. Is this an issue with the dizzy not being in time and the the ECU correcting the idle?

Thanks for the video, I'd check your spark plug order.

As Tony said check the spark wiring for one, you need to advance the dizzy and use a timing gun for correct timing.

Could be running on 2 cylinders. That will happen if you swap two of the spark wires. Spark plug order is 1-3-4-2 going clockwise looking at the outside of the distributor cap.

Also could be something else wrong with the car that wasn't fixed by distributor replacement so is still there.

Checked firing order and its all good.

mk378 - when initial problem occured ( crank no start ), I swapped out coil and car started up several times normal, no issues. Car died, ran more tests and determined I had to swap out dizzy after rechecking coil and ICU ( both fine ).

Setting ignition timing after replacing the distributor is not optional. Jump the service connector, put the timing light lead on wire 1, and get your timing where it belongs.
