new rims causing problems! =( help..
ok...i just put a new set of enkei RS* 16x7 rims on my car...when i turn or hit small bumps it makes a high pitched noise...kinda sounds like a turbo...
i come to find out that my wheel sticks out a lil too far....and its hitting the lil plastic weather gaurd on the outside of the wheel well...they're wrapped in falken ziex in the front and goodyear eagle in the back...we noticed the falkens are a lil thinner than the eagle....but im not sure it will help if we rotate cuz the wheel sticks out just enuf to hit the plastic...i would say its flush with the wheel well...any quick fix solutions...or should i start lookin for new rims?
EDIT: if it helps any...my susp. is just a set of H&R race springs

the wheel's offset is not meant for your car bro.....unless you wanna buy thinner sidewall tires (205/40/R16) which i would not recommend, you better sell them and start looking for some replacements...also....is your car lowered?? that might play an important role in this as well

i have a set of 17 inch RS 6 s on my eclipse GT..but their wrap d with 235/45 s ..they have a offset of 38 which is a but extreme for ur car..the greatest offset u should be looking at is 40
