did this swap in a buddy's EG so here is what we learned......
buy the motor mount kit! it's possible to cut and weld your own but your much further ahead to just buy the kit, it's way cleaner too.
h22 or B series transmission with adapter kit only. F series trannys are way cheaper but they suck ***! 1st gear feels like a rocket but an up shift to second usually threw us out of vtec and the rev drop was horrible.
buy the right axles, drive shaft shop are great if you can afford them. you can get b series to work but the snap rings won't always pop into their grooves because they are at a differant depth. had a few pop out
skunk2 intake manifold made a huge difference for us. cleared the firewall where the oem one whould hit on hard launches way better and cleaned up the enging bay a lot, no more stupid butterflys in the manifolds runners.
i hope this helps a little bit, this isn't an easy swap but driving a Honda that actually makes torque is so worth the time. we blew away tons of cars with this swap on a crappy *** F series tranny, if you ever turbo it, wear a diaper. cause your gonna **** yourself silly
good luck man.

Yes, IMO it should be without a doubt be done instead of a regular h swap.

Re: (ek forever guy)
i saw my 00 prelude to day and now i have a pit in my stoamach and feel bad. i can now see how 2 ppl died in it the pass side was smashed to bout the middle of the passenger side front seat!!! not to mention the ENTIRE front end was separated from the car. drunk driving is stupid anyways the axles look like there in good shape,im planning on getting an h2b kit so should i use the preludes axles or go aftermarket
