If you already have a D16 non-VTEC motor, you could always just do a mini-me swap and put on the SOHC VTEC head.
If there aren't any D16Z6 motors around, try searching for D16Y8. It's the same thing but newer.
Keep in mind, that without a turbo the D16 motor is slow as hell. You'll be lucky to get 15's in the 1/4. I recommend a B18 instead.
