New Kakimoto GT1.OZ catback for EK!!
Here is a few pictures of the new light weight fully stainless steel Kakimoto GT1.OZ catback exhaust for the EK. It weight at around 7kg for the whole catback and the tip size is around 3" if I remember correctly. The exhaust piping is 60mm.
The bottom one is for EK.
Picture of the muffler up close.
Picture of it on the car. The muffler is a bit off to the right because the install was not complete yet when I took the picture. It fit perfectly once everything bolted up.
This exhaust is in JDM length, their b-pipe is a bit longer due to shorter cat used in Japan. The USDM version is currently under development, but the JDM length one can be bolt on and fit perfectly with the Kakimoto Racing cat jack.
Here is a picture of the Kakimoto cat jack.

This Kakimoto GT1.OZ catback bring to you exclusively by Boom Plus Toys (BPT) in Vancouver. I am not sure on the price yet, but I think it will be around $600usd.
It is a N1 style exhaust, so it will be on the loud side, but you can run a silencer with it to quiet it down.

This catback has 1 resonator as you can see in the picture. Like I said, this is a N1 style system, so it will be on the loud side, but not any louder than other N1 exhaust out there. All you need is a silencer, and it will quiet down nicely. This exhaust sound nice and deep on the our EK Civic test car.
We have installed this catback on a EK along with Spoon header and Kakimoto cat jack, and the Spoon header hang much lower than any other part of the catback. So if anything going to bottom out, it wouldn't be the exhaust.

The header is locater near the wheels and will move up with the chassie giving it more clearance to go over bumps and what not. The resonator is located centraly and once the wheels clear a bump the chassie will be level again and the resonator will be closest thing to scrape. I'm not trying to flame anyone so please don't take it that way. I have the apex n1 on my hatch and it's resonator fits close to stock and is tapered at each end and i've drug it through dirt humps on dirt roads. The resonator on this exhaust looks twice as big and the ends aren't tapered. I would like to see more under car photos of the resonator. Other then that it looks like a quality exhaust.

Well, believe it or not, both resonators are almost exactly the same size. Anyways, the GT1.OZ exhaust doesn't have any problem with bottom out either the catback or the header yet. Therefore, so far so good!!

Matthew,
Did you neglect to mention that the GT 1.OZ is also available in a FULL TITANIUM version? The ad stated that the Ti catback for the R32 Skyline weighed under ten (10) pounds

the exhaust is too small and restrictive for a good NA setup. it would try to choke out the car. yeah it would work but who would pay $600 bux for a 60mm pipe, big waste.
as far as that spoon header is concerned its obvious that the person that owns the car has no clue how to drive a lowered car correctly. which comes down to just plain stupidity. learn to go in and out of inclined driveways and they wouldnt have that problem.

Well, I think everyone have their own standard on what worth it and what not, but everyone that see the GT1.OZ in person think it is well worth the money. But you are welcome to think whatever you want.
As for the nice word you have to the owner of the Spoon header, I will let him know and may be he will learn how to drive up and down from the driveway after. But wait, I think he already threw that Spoon header into the garbage a month ago and is running the Toda header now. And the Toda header is still in perfect shape now, so I guess he don't really need to learn how to drive up and down the driveway now.
kengs: I just think I should slowly bring on the good thing and not let everything out of the bag all at once!! But since you mentioned, we have sold a few Full Ti GT1.OZ to some WRX owner, and I know all of them are extremely happy about it.
