Well if your looking for horsepower your 17" konigs arent doing much for you. I wouldnt waste your time with wheels yet if you want power. You have your basic bolt ons it appears so you cant do to much more then your cat-back exhaust in that area. Now you have your motor options to play with. I say swap it if you really want power. Sell your bolt ons, dont buy rims, and find someone who wants your motor. Then start looking for either a b16 which you could pick up in the $2500 or a gsr which i am not really sure about. Anybody know what you can pick up a C1 for right now?

don't waste your money on SOHC bolt ons....Go with a simple Greddy Kit or if you've got the extra money get a B18c1 or c5 swap....Trust me..I wish I would have done that when I first got my car. Don't go with 17's..I'd get a set of 99-00 Si wheels..GSR Blades/swirlies..maybe some 15" or 16" Rotas..Keep your car clean.

Like everyone has said, use the search function. All of the questions you've asked so far could've been answered this way.
I'm running a 99 civic, and getting ready for an h22 swap.
As far as getting power you gotta know what you want and how you want it. If your looking for a drag car/track only/daily driver, then there are different ways your going to want certain things. Mostly learn to use the search and read everything you can.

you will need mounts from a 99-00 Si or Dohc Del Sol but its not a big deal..As far as prices..you can expect to pay 3-3500 if you go with an online business plus shipping which is around 250..If you search the classifieds on here you can find some decent deals.

Well, given what you just bought, you're kinda stuck with an all-motor d16y8. I would say go turbo or even swap, but then you'd have no use for your exhaust manifold. Unforntunately, d-series are very difficult all-motor engines to have. You could strip the car down though, decrease wieght instead of increasing power.

How much power are you looking for exactly? What do you plan on doing with the car? I know your new to it so do you just want something fast to beat up on your friends with? Or do you plan on going to the track? That information could help us inform you better as well. Welcome to Hondas....dont be all-show, no-go...

Re: new to import scene... need advice (One Term President)
It will be a daily driver but i want to be able to cruise but when it comes time to race at the track or wherever i want to be able to go. right now ppl like it because of the fact that it is a very stock lookin car but when someone trys to run me the car takes off.

I def suggest a B series swap then a turbo, thats what I did. I did it the expesive way but I couldnt be happier!
96 EX
Built B18C5
T3/T04E turbo
AEM EMS (fuel computer)
and this is a daily driver in the summer, just not the winter cause it snows everyday up here where I go to school

Perhaps the Greddy SOHC turbo? A jdm GSR swap would be nice as well. I'm more of a fan of the boosted B18B though. If you dont know yet the B18B is from a integra LS.

Re: new to import scene... need advice (98civicexsohc)
turbo it. since you are new to the scene i wouldnt recommend dropping all that money on a swap. but you also have to be somewhat mechanically inclined to drive a boosted car. you can expect to put about 150-200 whp(depending on setup) which should get you into the 14s. dont buy the 17's, you can search around on here and find people selling used wheels for pretty cheap if you really want some rims. it sucks that you already bought an intake and header but you can sell em and use the money towards a new setup. look at the greddy kit, an apexi kit, and read some stuff one http://www.homemadeturbo.com and you will learn some basics. good luck and stay away from aluminum wings and vynal graphics
