New to Honda-Tech, Drag Race EG.
Hey guys. Im new here to Honda-Tech. But ive been in the game for about 5 years. Surprised it would take me this long to get on here. I'm not all that computer Savy. Anywho, here's a few pics of my EG that I'm working on at the moment. I haven't raced it this season but I'm looking forward to when i do get some 1/4 mile time in... Anywho, i have owned a few different chassis from the years, but i recently started to get into drag racing about 2 years ago. Since than i have been putting my cars on diets, and making them stronger, fitter and more capable of getting fast 1/4 mile times. My chassis until recently was a 91 CRX si that was pulling me 8.5 Sec. on my 1/8 miles. But the oppontunity came about to buy a friends Drag EG shell so with me being a 6 ft guy, and with the very little headroom/legroom i had in the CRX, I decided to pick up the EG. The New EG setup should be great. With more headroom, and legroom, it makes a more comfortable ride for me.
Here's a throwback of the CRX.She had a good season last year. BTW she is up for sale.
She has some history behind her but now we are just gonna add more to her belt. Im excited for the New year and this season. Hopefully everything goes well. Heres the motor setup if you are curious:
The motor Setup for now is like so:
96 Spec ITR head and block
98 spec GSR tranny with 4.75 final drive, Quaife LSD.
-Hytech Rep. headers
-BDL 70mm TB
-Skunk 2 Tuner series Stage 2 Cams
-RC 350cc injectors
-AEM high Flow Fuel rail.
-Walbro 255lph fuel pump
-Hondata S300
190hp~128tq
I had picked her up as a shell, but within a few days of picking up a few parts. And a heart transplant later she was alive and kicking again.
And before you knew it, the swap was over haha.
So this is basically where she stands as of right now
Ive done some minor changes to it that i have not yet snapped some photos of. I painted the Roll cage white, and dropped it significantly. Still need a few things and a good tune and i should be hitting the race track soon. Thanks ahead of time. Hope Honda-tech treats me good. -Mel
