New Clutch Install - Engagement moving up the pedal, quick question
I'm sure someone will be able to answer this. I have recently installed an Exedy Stage 1 clutch, initially the engagement point was very low to the floor (which I quite liked) however I have done around 300 miles in it now and the clutch is starting to bite higher.
Is this normal ? I know that I am able to adjust the engagement via the clutch pedal but just wanted to check that this is normal.
I am still in the process of breaking the clutch in, the clutch doesnt feel like it is biting any worse, just higher up.
Thanks for your time,
- Prob

Re: New Clutch Install - Engagement moving up the pedal, quick question (Problemo)
i dont know how much the pedal has moved on you, but the rule is, 1/2 -3/4 of an inch of free travel up top. where the clutch pedal first starts to move is normal. then from there it is up to the pressure plate.

Re: New Clutch Install - Engagement moving up the pedal, quick question (boostedcivicsir)
So I understand from your post it is normal for the engagement point to move ? It has moved to roughly the middle of the pedal so I am assuming it won't move any further. Has anybody else experienced this ?
Before anyone asks, I did search, but to no avail.

Re: (dividedas1)
Oh right ? Same thing happened to you then. Did it move any further ? I suppose I should wait until the break in period is complete and then look at adjusting the clutch so it engages a bit lower.
