New Bushings.

New Bushings.
Hey Guys! I have a set of polyurethane bushings. would they be worth while putting on my car? I know my car should probably have some new ones since im sure they have never been replaced and my car is 18 years old and has 215k miles on it.
Should I do the polyurethane, or go with the stock rubber? Thanks!

I've been told by many people to avoid the poly bushings when I broached your same question. I was recommended to either go with OEM bushings or HardRace bushings which are also hard rubber not poly. Especially when it comes to trailing arm bushings but I got the feeling they prefered OEM and HardRace for all the bushings.
I guess the Polyurethane doesn't stretch or give as much so has a tendency to split and tear.

That's their con nothing wrong with them if you don't mind potentially replacing them every few years but YMMV...
There's also spherical ones not meant for street use but I can tell you first hand with every bushing being spherical the car feels amazing hard as **** and rattles over every bump, anyone that has a full time track car should look into them. They are high maintenance tho and considerably more cost wise as the RTA-b's alone are 300$.

Poly bushings aren't something I'd recommend for suspension parts. The eyes tend to elongate over time. This happens on poly motor mounts too, actually.
The other issue is the punishing ride that you won't see any benefit from on a street car. The poly trailing arm bushing doesn't allow the needed articulation either...so the car feels weird and then the bushing has no choice but to tear. Keep it street, y0. Your factory bushings lasted over 200k miles and may still be good.
If you're going to get rubber bushings, buy either hardrace or genuine Honda and clock them correctly. Don't tighten bolts while the wheels are off the ground. If installed properly, you won't need bushings again for a LONG time.
I'd recommend the genuine Honda ones over the hardrace ones if this is purely a street car.
Once you replace bushings once, you won't want to again. YOBO. You only bushing once.

You can also measure the hub center to the top of the wheel well (with the wheel on, suspension fully loaded), then with the wheel off, jack up on the LCA until you reach that measurement, tighten the UCA and LCA bolts, then put the wheel back on and consider them clocked.

Re: New Bushings.
Hand tighten the bolts with the suspension in the air and then stick a jack underneath and push the suspension component up and then when its under full load torque to specs

This is how I did my LCA's and then again for all four struts on my wifes car. Would jack up the LCA from the ball joint until that side just lifted off the jack stand, then torqued all the bolts.

I have poly bushings in the front end. Really tightened things up and I like them. With that said, I had ES trailing bushings and I ended switching them for rubber.
