I'm excited. :D :D :D I plan on having the motor and trans installed this weekend but it'll still be another couple weeks before I fire her up. Still need to finish the suspension, put in the gauges and fuel pump and a few other little items here and there not to mention getting her tuned. Will update with pics of the install after the weekend. In the mean time, here she is in her current state.

Look, just ship this thing to me so can slobber over it all day.

Sorry I've been slow on the updates. Been busy with work and actually working on the car. I've got the motor in, suspension mostly installed, everything wired up and am just about ready for my first start. Just need to run a vacuum line from the BOV to the intake and am waiting on some bracketry to come in for the rear sway bar. I'll try to get a proper post done in the next couple days. Until then I'll leave you with this:

First startup today! Took a bit to get her to idle and she needs a little more help but it's getting there. At least now I can get it tagged and send it off for some exhaust.

Idling - YouTube
What hurt the idle quality or made it require work to idle? I think I remember you saying that you sent your head off for some serious porting, did you install a pretty aggressive cam too? I think I remember you saying something like a 59300 cam right??

Yeah, I put a Brian Crower Stage 2 Turbo Cam in it. It's a bit lopey and doesn't like idling in the 400-500 RPM range like it's supposed to in order to set base idle. I had to mess with the fuel a little in my basemap before it would idle with the IAC unplugged. It was running so ridiculously rich that my wideband wouldn't even register it.

Very nice build!

I have a question for you on the ID1050x you're using. Is yours part number 1050.60.11.14.4 by chance? I think they are since they're blue. What part number lower grommet are you using on yours? I am putting the injectors on a B-Series and am using the thicker OEM grommets (OBD2 I believe) but how the grommet seal against the injectors, it's kind of loose and created a vacuum seal. Thanks in advance!

Part number for my injectors is 1050.60.11.14.4 as you suspected. I just used the factory seals. Honda part number 16472-P0H-A01. When I first attempted to use the ones that had been on the factory injectors they felt REALLY loose. Like TOO loose. So I ordered 4 new ones and they were much more snug. You should be able to pick up 4 from your local dealer for under $10 or you can order online here:

Awesome thanks! I just ordered a set and should get some in tomorrow. Do you think you can provide some close up shots of how your injectors sit in your manifold? I want to know if the seals go up to the black-colored middle plastic part of the injector and cover the silver-colored portion that has their logo? Thanks again!

BTW, Good job on the build! It's nice to see a clean car such as yours (for a change) with a properly painted body kit. Nowadays kids think it's cool to throw on primer-colored parts and call it a day.

Here's a pic from before I dropped the motor in that shows the injectors pretty well.
