New to this, any opinions help out...
Im looking to buy a 93 Si...the guy wants 5500 for it.
mileage is 100000 on body and about 30000 on new Si motor. Where is Engine Block code to make sure it is what it is? Is there anyway to verify the new motor he put inside it is a genuine VTEC motor, or a real Si motor?
Is there anything specifially I should look for that the 93s have been known for?
Im new to the Honda game...any info is greatful...any ideas of what to look for, or what to start on when the car is purchased.
Parts to start looking for? What is the compression ratio on the 93 Si motor? I know it came with 125hp and 106tq.
Thanks.

the engine code is stamped on the block to to left of the exhaust manifold.its a flat square with the numbers stamped..shouldnt be hard to find.
$5500 is ALOT for a 93 si with a new motor esp the same stock motor

Re: (jameskersten1)
Ok, I saw the car it was a B16A motor and tranny, with DC header, coilover front and rear suspension.
had no AC completely missing in engine bay, could see the firewall from inside car, extremely bouncy in rear, check engine light on. No power steering pump...
Giant coffee can exhaust tip...
Acura integra wheels, with Rear converted to Disc Brakes...
No external damage...internal was clean, sunroof still worked...not worth 5500 though. Ill keep looking.
