never bought aftermarket seats, need help!
I'm looking at buying these seats, mainly because they have a warranty for faded fabric as well as some pretty good reviews from a few of my friends. I don't really want to buy recaro seats because nobody warranties them anymore and it's hard to find some that aren't faded for an acceptable price.

Now, the listing says they come with universal sliders, but does that mean that they will bolt directly into my del Sol? I don't have a welder and i don't want to screw around with safety.
I'm also going to be using the stock belts. I want to sell my stock seats with some brand new civic rails i picked up, so i will have the ones for my del sol if i need them for any reason.
so, i need to know if the universal sliders will bolt to my floor without cutting or welding. if not, can the seats be fitted with my del sol rails?

Those seats are Recaro knock offs. They're probably not tested to be DOT approved. So they're probably not safe. I wouldn't buy them.

If your looking for cheap seats check http://www.getnrg.com/products/index.php#block3. You can't buy them from there but they are actually cheaper and being an actual company you can e-mail them to ask about safety. Or here too, http://www.modacar.com/products/Honda/Civic/NRGSEATS/. You dont' have to choose NRG but if you aren't gonig to be be racing or care about name brands it is a start. Modacar.com just has a lot to look at. I also check amazon becasue they just got an autoparts section not too long ago. Cheers.

Re: never bought aftermarket seats, need help!
I bought some like these on there and the sliders are crap. they only lock on one side and are not safe. Then the bracket I bought didn't fit the car right or the sliders. I have had the seats not installed yet for over a month!!!! If you do buy them order your bracket and sliders from www.wedgeengineering.net they custom make it especially for the seat so you won't have to go thru what I have had to.

i found some different seats. they look a lot like the new tenzo r seats, except they are cloth and suede instead of leather. they even have a carbon fiber backing plate and are DOT approved.
i also did some reading, can't i just buy two aluminum plates in the width of the stock rails and drill holes where they bolt to the seats and just install the seat that way? will it still adjust properly?
