Default need your opinion

ok i got a friend who ir REAL short on money and his car leaks brake fluid through where the mC and Brake booster meet. It doesn't leak much. I was thinkin to just seal the area with something good. I know its not what anybody would do but would it work and in his case it will save him alot of money. The car breaks fine... Thanks for your opinions

I wouldnt leave a problem like that just sitting, goto the local junkyard and pickup an entire brake booster / master Cylindar assembly for real cheap. I woudlnt imagine theres any type of sealent that would work very well, brake fluid would eat away at it. You ever see what brake fluid can do to a cement floor in a garage? hehe.

So brake fluid can eat through cement but not a plastic container?

why not just change the master cylinder like a normal person

go to the junkyard, if you have a 7/8, 15/16 or whatever, then get the same size, and you can usually find it on the same model car as yours

hell, if he's a good friend why won't you just pick one up for him at the junk yard. it'll cost you about $40, give or take alittle. then you can go and install it for him, they are pretty simple to do.
