Need some advice...
**********IF THIS IS IN THE WRONG FORUM IM SORRY***********
Thinking of selling my A/C system out of my JDM 95 Honda Civic DX.
Everything on the A/C works but the fan. And since having the car I havent used the A/C once because of said fan problem. It just squeals a little bit, I think its a bit dry where the fan blade tips spin around. Also it still blows mighty cold air last time it was on.
Now my question.
I was looking online at parts and saw the condensor alone goes for $400+ and the compressor for ~$100.
If I were to take it out how much do you think I could get for it?
Thanks in advanced!!

honda/acura a/c's go no more than $200 complete(which is pushing it)...anything more than that good luck selling it.

if you really just need the condensor fan why dont you just replace that? off hand i dont remember how the fan connects but i imagine you could toss some other fan on just to avoid that squeal

Yeah, I have seen the condensor fan and the lil radiator or w/e sold for like 50-75 used online. I believe i saw it on Inlinefour.com and they are pretty overpriced. I cant imagine the condensor itself and the lines would go for much more. Mayb $125-$150 is what I would pay.
I would honestly search the for sale marketplace and its respected regions to see if anyone else is selling their ac system. Its summer so im sure they are. See how much they are asking and then gauge your asking price based on that. GL

Re: (95ProjectEJ1)
Hey thanks alot guys for all the answers!
Also, the reason I dont use the a/c is gas prices, using the a/c eats gas, and being in florida and driving alot Id rather sweat then pay for gas. And yes I cut alot of corners to save money. Im saving up for a new paint job.
So between $150-$300 for a complete system? I can deal with that. $200 would be nice!!
Like I said thanks for all the help and advice!

Re: (USDMCIVICHATCH)
Ive tried to stop watching shows on there, you've seen the video of the guy from Man Vs Wild who went to that volcanic island and was trapped on there?
Yeah the video shows a person EXACTLY where he was and the crack in the ground he was trying to get over ended right off screen and a little further off was a damn highway!! I dont trust the shows on there.
But regardless, Im still taking it out to gut the car and lower weight.

Mythbusters for the muthfcukin win!!!
Also driving your truck with the tail bed down ruins gass milage..... This includes the nets extender bars and bed caps. Air flows in the back of the truck bed in its own little circular motion hits the tailgate goes down follows the bed hits the cab goes up hits the air floing over your truck follows air hits tailgate again and the cycle continues. Believe it or not the automotive industry made the tailgate of the truck solid just for that reason.
