Ok so here is my situation... I had b20/vtec in my 92 hatch and it dropped a valve. So I pulled the motor and I put in an obd0 LS motor. I got a P75 obd1 ECU for it. And I re-used my GSR wiring harness. I am still using the obdo intake manifold too(but I made some block off plates for vaccum leaks)

My problem is.... Ok I got the motor in with everything hooked up. When i start the car is takes a sec before it actually starts... but when it does start it idles at 3000 rpms. And it kinda sputters a bit. It throws a few codes too.... 4(CKP{in dizzy}), 6(water temp), and 7(TPS). Now the TPS and the water temp I already know about. Timing is perfect and I cant find any vaccum leaks. I got a BRAND NEW dizzy and it throws the same codes.

Now here is where I gave up and decided to ask you guys. We took my buddies OBD1 P72 GSR ecu and plugged it in to my car. The car still idled real high but it didnt throw the Crank pos. Sensor(code 4). The only one it added was code 21 witch is for vtec so that was expected. ALSO, the motor idled high still but it wasnt sputtering anymore.

Now to make it even more confusing we put my P75 ECU into his gsr and it ran perfect! No codes and no problems what-so-ever! Please help ASAP I need this car for school!

What??? How will that fix my problem? Plus they dont make one for OBD1 to OBD0 bro. I just need to know why its doing this. Could it be the wiring harness I am using maybe damaged?

did you convert the engine to obd1? if not thats what your problem is...because an obd1 wont run an obd0 engine right, because of the sensors

You mean the one that is attached to the TB? Or the one that is on the manifold below the TB? If you could give me a pic that would be great.

So you guys think that If I get and OBD1 intake mani that it will run right?

What do you mean convert it? I have an OBD1 dizzy, ecu, wiring harness, TB.

Sweet, I will try that today. The only manifold I can get is a B16 obd1 mani will it fit? I heard they do.

I would get the obd1 intake manifold as well. But that CKP problem is weird if your running a obd1 dist. with ecu and harness. I would look at the ecu. Try getting a 3rd ecu and see if the car will throw the code or not.

Ok good cuz I can get my hands on one of those. I will try to get a 3rd ecu but I can think of anybody else that has one.
