So I finally got my engine in. I have a few questions for the y8 mani swap.
If someone could post a y8 manifold diagram I should be able to get it from there (couldnt find on with search)



This is a 97 Manual Mani.

Red:
Is this a coolent passage? Runs back to the intake manifold?

Blue:
Does this one get capped?

Black:
Need some help?




Not sure where this goes on the IM.




Not sure what this is used for.


Whats this for ? I couldnt find it in the helms and I dont remember where it goes.

Update: My vision inspection says, The one on the IM goes into a hose right behind valve cover infront of the injectors, The one beneath the throttle body goes into a coolant line shared with the line that goes into the breather of the valve cover.

you can cap the blue it goes to catch can or something ont he back of the block. might be the black one tho cant remember.

red, is a coolent for the fast idle, it should go to the termostate? or near that area there should be a nipple for that passage, and the other end goes to the IACV on the back of the intake and from that point it goes back into the engine...i dont know the name of it but it a long brass piping that runs along the back of the bottom end

that end should be connected to your charcoal canister

i was just curious, do you have any back shot of that IM? im looking for any nipples back there, if there isnt any nipples back there and the black one is connect to that sensor i think it called EGR? not 100% sure

what year of car are you putting the y8 head/intakemanifold into??

[you have alot of things wronge in you pictures.


Blue gets blocked off.
Black runs to th ePCV valve in the intake runners.
The red looks like a coolent line. that water runs through
This is a picture of mine.

also the nipple right next to the throttle cable bracket that needs to run to your FPR not the line from the charcole canaster. you can see this in my picture


take this out its not used in a obd1 car.

the line from the charcole canaster need to go the the throttle body.

this is assuming you are putting this into a 92-95. which it looks like.

Thanks for the info.

This is a 95 civic.. the head is from a jdm d15b..

are you sure you block off both the black and blue outlined nipples? I was pretty sure you only blocked off one... but wasnt sure which... if anyone can verify

the black one you connect a PCV then run to the black box on the back of the block. the tube that u are holding goes right next to the map sensor. if you need help with any others hit me up.

That does help. But its a canister from a 95 cx. and teh y8 mani is on a jdm d15b head, so im a bit confused..

here is some of the info for i was looking for. i am missing the two way valve so i guess i need to pick one up.
